What these terms cover
These Terms of Service describe the rules for using the PixToolbox website and its tools, including the Image Compressor. By using the site you agree to these terms in plain English. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Using the tools
You may use PixToolbox to compress, convert and optimise your own images and files. You may use the tools for personal, educational and commercial purposes, free of charge. You may not attempt to break, reverse-engineer, overload or misuse the site, or use it to process content you do not have the right to use.
Local, not cloud
All processing happens in your browser on your device. We do not offer storage, hosting, backup or sharing of the files you process, and you can never retrieve a file from us after closing the page. Always keep your own copies of everything you compress.
No warranty
The tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We aim for things to work smoothly, but we do not guarantee that the tools are error-free, available without interruption, or that a compressed file will always be smaller than the original (some material simply does not compress further).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PixToolbox will not be liable for any loss, damage or corruption arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost savings, or issues with downloaded files. You are responsible for backing up originals and verifying that outputs meet your needs before using them.
Your content, your responsibility
Because files never leave your device, we never see your content and take no responsibility for it. You are solely responsible for the images you process and for making sure you have the rights to use them. We will remove content only if we are required to do so by law.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend or terminate access to the site if it is misused, with or without notice.
